The role of CDL-A Delivery Driver at McLane offers highly competitive compensation, with pay ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 annually. In this role, CDL-A Delivery Drivers are responsible for the safe operation and management of tractor-trailers during deliveries. This includes performing detailed vehicle inspections before and after trips, accurately managing delivery paperwork such as bills of lading and store keys, and ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. Drivers must maintain accurate logs, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions using manual methods or electronic tracking systems like Peoplenet. They also handle the unloading of trailers and delivering products directly into customer premises, contributing to an efficient supply chain.
