Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- minimum 6 months commercial driving experience
- valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A)
- must be at least 21 years old
- complies with all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for last three years
- successful completion of post offer drug test and background check
- passed road test
- valid or ability to obtain DOT Health Card
- ability to lift and handle freight weighing between 10 and 90 pounds using equipment
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 6+ months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A
- must be 21+ years of age
- meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- attains or has valid current DOT health card and/or able to secure new DOT health card
- able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight
Job Duties
- performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- reports all safety issues and repairs required following DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
- immediately reports all safety hazards and inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- performs count check of items and checks customer invoices of products loaded
- checks and completes all required paperwork associated with freight accurately
- moves tractor to loading dock and attaches preloaded trailer as needed
- drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- unloads products and transports items into designated customer storage areas
- performs damage control checks, scans, and contacts supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- verifies delivery of items with customer and obtains proper signatures, collects money where required
- loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- ensures tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and secured
- unloads damaged goods and returns, completes necessary paperwork
- completes daily record of hours of service and enters in log according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- performs general housekeeping in tractor and loading dock areas
- secures all equipment and completes paperwork at end of shift
- performs other related duties as assigned
