Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- One or more years driving tractor trailer
- Valid CDL-A
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Have or obtain valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to handle freight cases ranging from 10 to 90 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid CDL-A license
- One or more years of tractor trailer driving experience
- Ability to pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements
- Clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
- Ability to obtain or possess a valid DOT health card
- Ability to hand-lift and utilize equipment for moving freight
- Preferred experience in foodservice distribution
- Preferred experience with onboard computer and electronic log systems
- Preferred experience with point of delivery scanning systems
- Customer service experience
Job Duties
- Perform safety checks including pre and post trip inspections according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer for safety and report needed repairs
- Follow DOT regulations and company driving policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- Perform count checks and verify customer invoices
- Drive and deliver customer orders according to route schedule
- Unload products and transport items into customer storage areas
- Conduct damage control checks and contact supervisor as needed
- Verify delivery and obtain proper signatures
- Collect payments where required
- Load customer returns and secure trailer doors
- Secure tractor, trailer, and freight appropriately
- Unload damaged goods and complete necessary paperwork
- Maintain general cleanliness of equipment and loading dock
- Complete daily hours of service records and log entries
- Secure equipment and finalize paperwork at shift end
- Perform other related duties as assigned
