Currently, Southwestern Motor Transport is hiring Delivery Drivers in Austin, TX. This role is a local pick-up and delivery position that offers the advantage of being home daily and having weekends off, making it attractive for drivers seeking work-life balance. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of verified tractor-trailer driving experience within the past three years, a valid Class A CDL license, and a Hazmat endorsement. Job Requirements
- 22 plus years of age
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Hazmat endorsement required
- Minimum 12 months of recent and verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
- No major preventable accidents in past 3 years
- No more than 2 highway convictions in past 2 years
- Preferred linehaul or pick-up and delivery experience
Job Qualifications

- Ability to maintain professional conduct and comply with DOT safety regulations
- Strong communication skills to maintain contact with supervisors and coworkers

Job Duties
- Perform pre and post trip inspections on company vehicles as required and ensure their safe operation
- Deliver products on a safe and timely basis
- Establish and maintain contact with supervisors and coworkers
- Perform any other duties as required by management
- Ensure compliance with all DOT safety regulations
- Maintain a professional image at all times
- Back into docks multiple times per day and load and unload freight
