The Delivery Driver position based in Austin, TX at Southwestern Motor Transport is an excellent opportunity for experienced CDL A drivers who value being home daily and having weekends off. Job Requirements

  • 22+ years of age
  • Valid Class A CDL license
  • Hazmat endorsement required
  • Minimum of 12 months of recent and verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
  • Not involved in a major preventable accident in the past 3 years
  • No more than 2 highway convictions in the past 2 years
  • Preferred linehaul or pickup and delivery experience

Job Duties

  • Perform pre and post trip inspections on company vehicles as required and ensure their safe operation
  • Deliver products on a safe and timely basis
  • Establish and maintain contact with supervisors and coworkers
  • Perform any other duties as required by management
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT safety regulations
  • Maintain a professional image at all times
  • Back into docks multiple times per day and load and unload freight
