This role of Delivery Driver at US FOODS is essential to the daily operations and overall success of the company. Delivery Drivers are the critical face of US FOODS, responsible for delivering a wide variety of products including meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies directly to customers' drop-off sites. The position demands a high level of customer service as drivers interact directly with clients, ensuring that deliveries are accurate, timely, and handled with care. Drivers will work a 1st Shift Monday-Sunday availability with daily overtime opportunities, with shifts typically starting early in the morning and continuing until all deliveries are complete.

This role not only emphasizes safe and efficient delivery, but also requires physical stamina and the ability to perform repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds, as well as operating delivery equipment like hand trucks. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
  • No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations
  • No DUI convictions in the past three years
  • No driver’s license suspensions in the past three years
  • Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months of food and beverage delivery driving experience
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Deliver best-in-class customer service
  • Deliver customers' orders to meet scheduled delivery times and maintain productivity
  • Unload products with a hand truck and place items in customer storage area
  • Perform repeated manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds
  • Make frequent stops during a work shift
  • Deliver product in inclement weather conditions
  • Verify delivery of items with customers
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where needed
