Job Description

US Foods is a leading foodservice distributor dedicated to delivering exceptional food products and services to restaurants, healthcare and hospitality providers, and other foodservice customers across the United States. As a prominent player in the foodservice industry, US Foods provides a wide range of innovative culinary solutions and comprehensive support to help customers succeed in their businesses. With over 30,000 employees nationwide, the company prides itself on its strong safety culture, excellent local leadership, and commitment to employee well-being, including attractive benefits starting from day one. The company embraces diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive work environment where every team member can thrive.

The Non-CDL Delivery Driver role at US Foods offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to build a rewarding career in the foodservice logistics and delivery sector. This full-time position requires working Monday through Saturday with two days off, although Saturday work is mandatory. Drivers in this role earn a competitive hourly wage starting at $25.50 and have the chance to earn overtime pay. The position involves safely and efficiently delivering product to multiple designated stops following a specified route sequence each day. Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading their vehicles, sometimes lifting heavy items up to 100 pounds, and using hand trucks to transport products into customer locations — sometimes up and down stairs as needed. The role demands a high level of physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, driving, lifting, and carrying, often in outdoor environments and variable weather conditions.

Exceptional attention to detail is vital, as drivers must accurately record delivery information using company hand scanners and ensure proper documentation for returns or damaged merchandise. Those in this role act as the face of US Foods to customers and must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships. Drivers must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record and be able to pass DOT physical requirements. Previous commercial driving experience is not required, but experience with multi-stop deliveries or the foodservice industry is preferred. The company values adaptability, client loyalty, trust building, communication, and defensive driving abilities in its delivery team members. With benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K plans, life insurance, and much more, employees enjoy comprehensive support from day one. This role promises growth opportunities within a leading company that values safety, service excellence, and employee development.
