This specific job opportunity is for a Delivery Driver position located in Lexington, KY. As a US Foods Delivery Driver, you will have the critical responsibility of safely driving company trucks to deliver products to customers on schedule. This involves unloading products either by hand or with equipment like pallet jacks and two-wheelers, and ensuring that orders are accurately verified and signed for by customers. You will also handle customer interactions including collecting payments when applicable, providing excellent customer service to foster positive relationships. Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections are mandatory to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
The physical demands of the job include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products weighing between 20 to over 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift, as well as working in diverse weather conditions with frequent stops. Applicants must meet stringent regulatory requirements, including registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, holding a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with necessary endorsements, and obeying all Department of Transportation guidelines.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- valid Class A CDL license
- registration to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- minimum six months commercial driving experience in any industry or three months in the food/beverage delivery industry
- ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs repeatedly
- comfortable driving in inclement weather with frequent stops
- ability to read and communicate in English
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- minimum of six months commercial driving experience in any industry or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- ability to read and communicate in English to understand highway traffic signs, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports
- registration to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
