This particular role is for a US Foods driver, which is a local position designed for individuals who want to be home every day while building a rewarding career with a top-tier foodservice distributor. The position offers a competitive starting wage of $31.93 per hour with overtime opportunities. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, with weekends off, featuring a 4-day workweek and start times between 3 AM and 6 AM, totaling an average of 45 hours per week. Drivers are responsible for safely operating trucks to transport foodstuffs and related products to customers while maintaining a professional and customer-focused demeanor.
The driver role is essential in ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer experiences, functioning as a critical link in the supply chain by handling deliveries, unloading products manually or with equipment like pallet jacks and two-wheelers, verifying delivery accuracy, collecting payments when necessary, and adhering to pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Physical stamina is required for repetitive lifting of heavy products and the ability to work in various weather conditions with frequent stops.
Candidates need to meet specific regulatory requirements, including being at least 21 years old, holding a valid CDL Class A license with necessary endorsements, registering with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, and possessing a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery. Job Requirements
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80 plus lbs. of product repetitively
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
