This company caters to independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries, making it a vital player in the food distribution industry. PFG’s team consists of sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and other experts who work closely with customers. They provide valuable advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies, helping restaurant owners and foodservice providers to not only receive quality products but also achieve their long-term business goals. Through dedicated customer relations and expert guidance, Performance Foodservice goes beyond just delivering food, fostering trusted partnerships with clients nationwide.

The role of a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver at Performance Foodservice is critical to maintaining the smooth functioning of the country’s food supply chain. This position requires delivering food and related products safely and promptly to a wide range of customers, while also representing the company’s identity and building lasting relationships. The successful candidate will be entrusted with driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on various delivery routes, which include intrastate and interstate locales, local runs, over-the-road assignments, as well as shuttle and overnight routes. Monday to Friday shifts typically involve dispatch times between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. The company offers a competitive compensation package with earning potential reaching upwards of $90,000 annually, reflecting the importance and demands of the job.

Beyond transportation, this position involves performing essential safety inspections in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, conducting load verification and damage checks, handling customer transactions where required, and ensuring accurate completion of delivery documentation. The role also includes a strong teamwork component, requiring effective communication with customers, vendors, and fellow employees to maintain a professional and cooperative work environment.

Performance Foodservice values its drivers as key contributors and offers a safe, inclusive work culture enriched by recognition, rewards, and respect. Employees benefit from day one health and wellness programs, a robust employee stock purchase plan, 401K matching contributions, education assistance, and paid time off.
