This role as a US Foods Driver is a crucial position within the company, responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to customers while providing excellent customer service. Based in Madison, WI, the position offers a schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with shift start times between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., and opportunities for daily overtime after 10 hours. The compensation for this role is competitive, expected to be around $34.04 per hour, with additional overtime pay. In this role, the driver is responsible for safely operating trucks to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements. They must carefully unload products using equipment such as two-wheelers or pallet jacks and verify order accuracy with customers, securing proper signatures. The job requires physical strength to repeatedly lift, carry, push, or pull heavy loads ranging from 20 to over 80 pounds and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Additionally, the driver may handle collections and payments, conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and engage in professional customer interactions to enhance client satisfaction.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Registered to the FMCSA Clearinghouse

Job Duties
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
- Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
- Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
- Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
