As a company, Performance Foodservice has earned a reputation for their commitment to excellence and strong customer relationships. Their team comprises sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and industry experts who work closely with clients to offer advice on menu development, operational improvements, product selection, and strategies designed to help businesses thrive in a competitive marketplace. The company is not only dedicated to delivering high-quality food but also to supporting independent restaurant owners and other clients in achieving their business dreams and ensuring operational success.
The current opening is for a Food and Food Service Delivery Driver located at their new warehouse and facility at 8600 Springdale Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63134. This is a vital role within the company’s logistics and distribution network and supports America’s food supply chain. The position involves driving tractor trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate, interstate, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and drive-and-drop assignments. Delivery drivers ensure timely and safe delivery of food and related products, maintain excellent customer service relations, and adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Performance Foodservice offers competitive pay, a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, and benefits including day-one health and wellness coverage, employee stock purchase plans, 401(k) employer matching, education assistance, paid time off, and more.

In addition to driving, responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections for safety and regulatory compliance, securing and inspecting loads, managing freight paperwork accurately, and assisting in loading and unloading products safely. Drivers are expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to safety guidelines to ensure their well-being and the integrity of the products transported. The company fosters a safe, inclusive, and rewarding work culture characterized by respect and recognition.
