The company is dedicated to maintaining an environment where every team member can thrive and contribute meaningfully to its mission of delivering essential products safely and efficiently.
The CDL-A Delivery Driver position at Core-Mark is a critical role within the company’s food distribution framework. Drivers are frontline representatives who ensure that customers receive food and food-related products promptly and in excellent condition, directly influencing customer satisfaction and company reputation. The role is full-time with a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $75,000 per year, offering a convenient 4-day work week with home daily schedules, located at 1982 Commerce Rd., Springfield, OH 45504.
Driving responsibilities primarily involve operating tractor trailers or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes. These routes focus on the delivery and unloading of food and related products to customers, adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. The driver serves as a key communicator, professionally interacting with customers, vendors, and colleagues to ensure any queries are resolved swiftly and accurately.
Beyond driving, the role entails performing rigorous safety checks before and after trips, including thorough inspections of the vehicle and trailer to verify compliance with DOT standards and internal safety guidelines. The driver is responsible for ensuring that all freight is securely loaded, accurately counted, and properly documented with legible paperwork. Upon delivery, they unload goods carefully, conduct damage control assessments, collect required signatures, and handle payments when necessary.
Additional duties include managing customer returns, unloading damaged goods, maintaining cleanliness and order in the vehicle and loading dock area, and performing daily logs and reports as required by federal and company regulations. This comprehensive role demands physical stamina, including lifting and maneuvering product cases weighing between 10 and 90 pounds, using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates for efficient loading and unloading.
Core-Mark values experience, safety consciousness, and professionalism in its drivers. The company offers a growth-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork and dedication to serving the convenience retail industry's supply chain needs. By joining Core-Mark, employees align themselves with a respected industry leader that promotes equality and inclusivity, fostering a positive workplace for all individuals.
