The company is currently seeking to hire CDL-A Delivery Truck Drivers who will play a crucial role in moving, supplying, and providing for America's favorite brands. This role involves not only driving but also ensuring adherence to safety regulations and maintaining the condition of the tractor-trailer. The employment type is full-time with competitive compensation earning between $88,000 and $97,000 annually, with top drivers earning $100,000 or more. Drivers are compensated based on hourly wage, mileage, stops, and cases with routes that are local and regional, featuring early evening dispatch and overnight deliveries. As a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver at McLane, the successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting their tractor-trailer both before and after trips, documenting defects and submitting DOT inspection reports. They will ensure accuracy in off-hour deliveries by reviewing bills of lading and store keys. The driver will use their skills in commercial driving regulations to maneuver the vehicle safely on roads and customer premises while maintaining detailed logs to comply with DOT standards. Unloading products upon delivery and performing other assigned duties are integral aspects of this role. Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
  • At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
  • Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely

Job Duties

  • Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report
  • Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
  • Drive tractor-trailer to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions
  • Unload trailer delivering product into customer premises
  • Perform other duties as assigned
