Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year food production experience including high production catering
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying kitchen conditions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Commitment to adhering to food safety and sanitation policies
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including up to 40 hours per week
- Must be able to work on-site at Fort Collins, CO location
- Eligible for overtime work
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year food production experience including high production catering
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use knife skills, meat slicer, food processor, and other kitchen equipment
- Current certification in ServSafe or equivalent food safety training
- Working knowledge of HACCP practices
- Experience working with fresh produce including inventory, ordering, preparation
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership capabilities to guide student employees
- Strong knowledge of health inspections, state and local food regulations
- Experience in a college/university food service environment
- Experience working in a high volume food service setting
Job Duties
- Learn and ensure self-compliance with all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure high-quality customer service
- Comprehend written instructions for equipment operation, chemical supplies, safety instruction, policies and guidelines
- Meet daily scheduling requirements and accomplish all tasks in a timely fashion
- Attend all required trainings and meetings
- Learn and follow all guidelines contained in the employee handbook
- Understand and follow Colorado State University policies, including the Principles of Community
