Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in food production including high production catering
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work varying work conditions
- Willingness to learn and comply with dining services rules and regulations
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Collins, CO
- Availability for a 9-month temporary hourly position
- Ability to attend required trainings and meetings
- Must comply with CSU's safety guidelines associated with public health
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year food production experience including high production catering
- Demonstrated knowledge of knife skills, meat slicer, food processor and other kitchen equipment used for high volume food preparation
- Current ServSafe certification and working knowledge of HACCP or other food handling/health department certification
- Experience working with fresh produce including inventory, ordering, and preparation
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership capabilities to guide student employees
- Strong knowledge of health inspections and state and local food regulations
- Experience in college/university food service environment
- Experience in high volume food service setting
Job Duties
- Learn and ensure self-compliance with all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure high-quality customer service
- Comprehend written instructions for equipment operation, chemical supplies, safety instructions, policies and guidelines
- Meet daily scheduling requirements and accomplish all tasks in a timely fashion
- Attend all required trainings and meetings
- Learn and follow all guidelines contained in the employee handbook
- Understand and follow Colorado State University policies, including the Principles of Community
