The role of Catering Supervisor, Suites is pivotal in ensuring that the venue's premium suite experiences meet and exceed guest expectations. This position entails overseeing daily operations across all suites within the venue, catering to a diverse clientele that ranges from commercial stakeholders to VIP invited guests. The Catering Supervisor will act as the principal on-site liaison, managing suite readiness, coordinating catering staff, and ensuring seamless communication between clients, catering teams, and venue leadership. The supervisor will be responsible for managing suite setups to premium standards including food and beverage presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with safety protocols. In addition to operational oversight, this role requires rigorous KPI tracking, including product usage and service metrics, to maintain continuous improvement and alignment with overarching tournament and venue standards.
This position demands a candidate who is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled in multi-unit operations management within the catering or hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in staff leadership and a demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in an event-driven setting. They will possess strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills, facilitating effective conflict resolution and cooperation among diverse teams. Technical proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, DocuSign, and Smartsheet is essential to manage administrative workflows efficiently.
The Catering Supervisor must also exhibit flexibility and a proactive mindset, ready to commit to long and varied working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. Physical capability to lift or move items up to 20 pounds and remain on their feet for extended durations is also a component of the role, ensuring they can engage actively during match days. Fluency in conversational English is required, alongside the legal eligibility to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. This role is compensated on a weekly rate based on a 40-hour workweek, reflecting the intensity and high responsibility level attached to the position. Job Duties
- oversee the daily operations of premium suites ensuring all catering services are executed to the highest standard
- complete and maintain daily KPI tracking worksheets capturing product movement service metrics and operational notes for reporting
- serve as the primary on-the-floor contact for suite clients responding quickly to service needs resolving issues and escalating concerns when necessary
- mitigate operational challenges by coordinating with catering teams runners and back-of-house support to ensure smooth service throughout each match day
- communicate key updates challenges and insights to the venue catering manager providing clear and timely reporting
- ensure suite setups meet premium standards including product presentation cleanliness and readiness prior to each event
- uphold all venue tournament and safety policies throughout operations
