The role offered is a part-time seasonal position that pays $25.31 per hour, focusing on the catering aspect of live event management. Reporting under the direction of the Catering Manager, the position involves overseeing the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of banquets, catered events, and special functions. The primary objective is to ensure a seamless guest experience through outstanding service delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing event logistics, coordinating equipment movement, maintaining inventory, and supervising various teams including house-persons and stewarding members during event setups and breakdowns.
This position demands a professional demeanor and a positive, friendly attitude even under pressure. Candidates must be punctual, maintain a clean and proper uniform, and actively participate in mandatory meetings and communications. Key responsibilities include greeting event coordinators, responding promptly to requests, conducting roll calls to inform staff of event details, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards throughout all phases of the event. Effective communication and collaboration with facilities, catering, and culinary departments are essential to accommodate any last-minute changes or special needs.
Physical stamina is critical for this role, as it requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and handling fast-paced environments including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be capable of making decisions independently while maintaining a calm and positive presence to provide excellent guest service continually. Additional certifications such as the California Food Handlers Certification and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification are required.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to obtain CA Food Handlers Certification
- Must be able to obtain RBS (alcohol) Certification
- Ability to work all venue events including extended hours nights weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to obtain California Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to obtain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
- Catering leadership experience preferred
- Must be able to work long periods of time with constant standing walking and lifting
- Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations
- Must have ability to smile maintain positive body language and provide positive guest service
- Must be able to make generalizations evaluations and decisions without immediate supervision
Job Duties
- Report for scheduled events on time in proper uniform with neat and clean personal appearance
- Maintain a friendly positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
- Assist with planning organizing and execution of all functions
- Coordinate the movement of equipment for all events
- Greet the event coordinator and respond to all requests
- Responsible for inventory of equipment small wares disposables and beverages
- Oversee general cleaning tasks using standard products in accordance with health and safety standards
