The Catering Supervisor at Legends holds a pivotal role, reporting directly to the Catering Manager. This position is responsible for supervising all aspects related to the set-up and clean-up of banquet functions, ensuring each event runs smoothly and guests receive the highest level of service. The Catering Supervisor oversees the inventory management of equipment, small wares, disposables, and beverages necessary to support all banquet operations. Additionally, the supervisor manages the housemen and stewarding team to maximize efficiency during event preparation and breakdown phases. Key responsibilities include coordinating the movement of beverages and event equipment, supervising food and beverage service, and overseeing event room configurations.
An essential function of the Catering Supervisor involves assisting with planning, organizing, and executing events to meet client expectations. This includes greeting clients and promptly responding to requests to ensure their satisfaction. The supervisor leads pre-event roll call meetings, clearly communicating event details and staff expectations to the team. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform physical tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, and guest relations
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and maintain professionalism
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college education preferred
- Strong organizational skills with ability to make quick and accurate decisions

- Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration and compliance with service standards
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings, serviceware, and menu items
- Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English to communicate with guests
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
- Sufficient mobility for prolonged reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling
- At least 18 years of age
Job Duties
- Oversee set-up and clean-up for all banquet functions to provide excellent guest service
- Responsible for inventory management of equipment, small wares, disposables, and beverages
- Supervise housemen and stewarding team during event set-up and break-down
- Coordinate movement of beverages and equipment for all events
- Supervise food and beverage service and event room set-up and clean-up
- Assist with planning, organizing, and executing all functions
- Greet clients and respond to their requests
- Lead roll call meetings before events to communicate event details and expectations
- Oversee general cleaning tasks to maintain health standards
- Check for last-minute changes with Facilities, Catering and Culinary teams
- Complete other duties assigned by Catering Management
