The company fosters a culture where careers are developed, passions are fueled, and professional growth is empowered. Their commitment to service excellence and employee development makes Aramark a sought-after employer for those aiming to build rewarding careers in the hospitality and food service industries.
The role of Chef Manager at Aramark is a dynamic and integral leadership position within their culinary services team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this role demands both culinary expertise and strong leadership skills to manage kitchen personnel and coordinate all culinary activities effectively. The Chef Manager is responsible for training the kitchen team, overseeing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring that safety and sanitation protocols are strictly followed. This position requires a hands-on approach to uphold quality standards, from selecting and developing recipes to standardizing production methods to ensure consistency in every dish served.
Beyond culinary duties, the Chef Manager has a critical role in managing budget requirements, estimating food consumption, requisitioning or purchasing supplies, and planning and pricing menus that meet client expectations. The role also involves overseeing special catering events and, occasionally, providing culinary instruction or demonstrating cooking techniques to the team.
Aramark values dedication, patience, and the willingness to grow professionally and offers the right opportunities for employees to reach the peak of their careers. With comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement savings plans like 401(k), and paid time off such as parental leave and disability coverage, Aramark ensures its employees are supported. Benefits may vary by location and eligibility but collectively reflect the company’s investment in employee well-being and growth. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for culinary excellence and team development will find this role both challenging and rewarding.
This is a full-time position designed for candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience and educational background in culinary arts or related fields. Aramark promotes the continuous development of skills and adaptability to changing job duties to meet evolving business needs. Opportunities within Aramark allow individuals to grow their culinary careers while contributing positively to the dining experience of clients across diverse settings.
