Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests each day across 15 countries. Rooted in service and united by a purpose to do great things for our partners, communities, and the planet, Aramark operates in various sectors including healthcare, education, sports, leisure, and business dining. The company is committed to fostering a workplace where every employee enjoys equal employment opportunities and can participate fully without discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military or protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.
As a Catering Service Worker Lead at Aramark, you will hold a pivotal role in supervising and supporting the planning and execution of catering events that range widely in size and complexity, located in both central and satellite venues. The primary objective in this position is to ensure that all catering brand standards and initiatives are consistently met, maintaining Aramark's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.
This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be directly responsible for overseeing the catering operations including the coordination of staff, management of rental equipment, and the setup, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods and beverages. Your duties also extend to booking events, selecting and costing menu items, and pricing as necessary to ensure smooth and efficient event delivery.
In addition to operational responsibilities, you will play a key role in fostering a safety-first culture, ensuring a work environment where no one gets hurt. You will assist in hiring processes, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews to maintain a motivated and effective team. Collaboration is essential as you will coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in management team meetings to align catering operations within the broader organizational goals.
Further, this position involves interfacing with vendors and key service users within the client organization, facilitating external customer relations, and representing both Aramark and its clients at meetings and events. Maintaining high sanitation, organizational, and safety standards through the use of detailed checklists and hands-on supervision is a vital part of your responsibilities. You will also have a hand in training initiatives, helping to develop and implement training programs for hourly, part-time, and student employees, reinforcing the team’s skills and knowledge.
As part of Aramark's continuous improvement initiatives, you will aid in the implementation and adherence to all Aramark Operational Excellence (OpX) Catering initiatives and guidelines. This role demands flexibility, a willingness to adapt to changing job duties, and dedication to getting the job done to deliver exceptional service consistently.
Aramark supports its employees' development and career growth, offering a workplace that fuels your passions and empowers professional development. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with operational experience looking to lead and innovate within a respected, large-scale catering and hospitality environment.
