The role of Director of Catering at Harvest Table Culinary Group is a pivotal director-level position responsible for developing and executing innovative catering solutions that fulfill guests" specific event requirements. This leadership role entails fostering strong client relationships to promote customer loyalty and sales growth, implementing effective communication strategies to build catering revenue, and ensuring that the entire catering process—from planning through execution—meets the company"s high standards for quality and consistency. The Director is also responsible for managing catering operations, including overseeing staffing, financial performance, compliance with health and safety standards, and coordination with other departments to ensure seamless event execution. This position requires strategic vision paired with operational expertise to maintain best-in-class event offerings and achieve targeted financial outcomes. The Director of Catering plays an integral role in upholding Harvest Table Culinary Group"s Executional Framework, ensuring that all culinary and kitchen operations align with the company"s quality, safety, and environmental policies. This role is ideal for an experienced catering management professional with at least 4 years of relevant experience, including 1 to 3 years in a leadership capacity, who possesses strong communication skills, integrity, and a passion for excellence in delivering memorable catering experiences.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience
  • 1 to 3 years in a management role
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • willingness to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking and standing
  • compliance with company policies and safety standards
  • ability to use personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in catering or culinary management
  • 1 to 3 years in a manager role
  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • strong value system and unquestioned integrity

Job Duties

  • Develops and maintains effective client and customer rapport
  • demonstrates excellent customer service using Harvest Table's standard model
  • implements communication strategies to build catering revenue
  • delivers food and labor targets
  • develops and executes strategies to achieve catering revenue forecasts
  • executes catering events including staffing and management
  • ensures accurate reporting of catering-related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • coordinates activities with other departments
  • ensures compliance with food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
  • complies with health, safety, and wage and hour practices
