Job Requirements

Must meet state requirements to obtain Hawaii Liquor Commission card
Must be at least 21 years of age
Previous serving experience required
Ability to multi task and work in a very fast paced environment
Speed, accuracy and efficiency are required
Demonstrated ability to own and resolve guest situations
Demonstrated excellent guest service and service recover skills
Adept at troubleshooting and can calmly handle difficult situations
Self directed, trusted and well respected by peers
May be part time or seasonal roles
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events
Training availability: 2-3 weeks of full availability (day and evening)
Minimum 3 days of full availability per week ongoing
Availability for shifts including Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights

Job Qualifications

Previous serving experience
Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated excellent guest service and service recovery skills
Adept at troubleshooting and handling difficult situations calmly
Self directed and trusted by peers
Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language preferred
Alcohol awareness training preferred
Previous bartending experience preferred
Some food serving knowledge/experience

Job Duties

Must be comfortable working in a banquet environment
Review BEO's and set tables, linen and service ware based on requirements
Greet and seat guest
Ability to serve 4-6 table stations, including taking food orders, entering in POS system, delivering food to tables and following up with guest service until meals are complete
Some computer experience, working with POS systems
Ability to anticipate guests needs and act accordingly
Serves food and beverage to guests at proper temperature
Shares knowledge of wines, spirits to guests
Articulate menu options and ingredients to guests
Assist guests with directions, entertainment, and event schedules
Clear tables and perform pre-bussing duties
Work with kitchen/restaurant equipment
Practice proper sanitation and maintain cleanliness of side stations
Complete assigned side work including polishing silverware, folding napkins, filling condiment caddies
May combine serving food with small food preparation tasks
May serve as a cocktail server
Enter guest order into system, deliver guest check, and complete self-banking of guest checks
