The Catering Server position at Ford Field offers a dynamic and rewarding role ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and interacting with guests. This part-time or full-time role involves taking food and beverage orders and delivering them efficiently and professionally to customers in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
- deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
- demonstrate comprehensive understanding of menu items and ingredients
- advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
- accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
- demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens when needed
- communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy
- exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff
- collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
- promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
- maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
- promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
- ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods while meeting sanitation standards
- operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
- perform other duties as assigned
