Job Duties

Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
deliver food promptly and professionally maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
demonstrate comprehensive understanding of menu items and ingredients
advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks when requested
accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences
demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens when needed
communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy
exhibit exceptional communication skills and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff
collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods while meeting sanitation standards
operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
collaborate with other departments during special events and functions
perform other duties as assigned
