Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience
- ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, or pull as needed
- must be at or over minimum age to serve alcohol based on local regulations if applicable
- may require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
- ability to taste and smell
- attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 0 to 1 year related experience preferred
- knowledge of menu items including allergens and preparation
- ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests
- ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts
- must be or exceed minimum age required to serve alcohol if applicable
- certification such as TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent for alcohol service preferred
- strong customer service skills
- ability to handle repetitive motions
- physical ability to stand or walk for long periods
- willingness to learn and grow within the role
Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests
- present menus
- introduce specials or menu changes
- provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine
- answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
- accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen
- confirm orders with guests
- process orders in the correct sequence
- check all items for quality and completeness
- ensure presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
- monitor guest needs
- respond to requests
- address concerns or complaints with professionalism
- attend work and be punctual for scheduled shifts
- perform physical tasks including walking or standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed
- follow all safety and hygiene protocols
- perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
