As part of its dynamic team, employees are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service while embracing the company's core values that emphasize people, quality, responsiveness, and ownership.
The company is searching for a skilled and motivated Catering Sales Executive to join its team. This role is pivotal in driving the success of the catering department by effectively selling and servicing banquet and meeting functions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in achieving catering department goals through proactive sales strategies and superior client service. This position offers a clear growth path, including advancement opportunities to Sales Manager, Director of Sales, and Regional Director of Sales, making it an ideal role for ambitious professionals eager to advance their careers in hospitality sales.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all catering sales efforts, targeting both existing and new markets across corporate and social segments. Your duties will include soliciting new business by making prospecting calls and conducting client visits outside the company. You will maximize revenue by promoting all aspects of the hotel’s offerings both orally and in writing to past, current, and potential clients. The role requires meticulous account management, ensuring all solicitation and closing aspects are thoroughly completed and documented. Servicing accounts effectively by managing banquet event orders (BEOs) and group resumes is also a key part of your responsibilities.
Additionally, you will be expected to provide an exceptional level of service, sourcing high-quality catered products that meet client expectations. Effective communication skills are essential, as you will need to give clear directions to staff both verbally and in writing. Workplace safety and adherence to MSDS and OSHA standards are prioritized, requiring you to practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.
This position demands a flexible work schedule that may include holidays and weekends and requires physical activity such as standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The company values employees who embody its core beliefs: "People Are Our Capability," "Hearts That Serve," "Only Excellence," "Stay Nimble," and "Own It." These principles guide the work culture and set expectations for performance and service excellence in all aspects of the job.
