Job Description

We are partnering with a fast-growing, fine dining restaurant group notable for its elevated guest experiences and design-forward spaces, currently seeking a Director of Catering & Events to lead and scale its private events business across three expanding markets. This established restaurant group is well-known for its commitment to excellence, both in culinary innovation and customer service, and is rapidly expanding across Florida and Kentucky markets. As they grow, there is a significant opportunity for a highly motivated sales professional to join their ranks and contribute to building a thriving multi-market revenue stream.

The role of Director of Catering & Events is a pure sales position, distinctly focused on driving catering and private events revenue. Unlike traditional roles in the events space, this position does not involve any operational execution responsibilities, as a dedicated operations team is already in place to ensure seamless event delivery. This allows the Director of Catering & Events to focus exclusively on business development and client acquisition. The primary goal is to source, develop, and close new business opportunities by selling high-value events and cultivating lasting relationships within the events and hospitality industry.

This unique role offers an unparalleled opportunity to own and expand a multi-location catering sales program. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue across all locations in Florida and Kentucky, taking the lead in outbound sales efforts while nurturing and maintaining a strong network of wedding planners, corporate clients, social event organizers, and other relevant partners. Importantly, this position involves owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting potential clients to negotiating and executing contracts.

The Director of Catering & Events will strategically develop partnerships with event planners, luxury vendors, and community influencers to continuously expand the company’s reach. Collaboration with internal teams is critical to ensure client expectations are aligned and met from the outset. Additionally, the role requires the creation and refinement of pricing strategies, packages, and compelling sales collateral that resonates with target audiences. Regular forecasting of revenue, pipeline tracking, and identification of growth opportunities are essential elements of this role, facilitating data-driven decisions to foster continual expansion.

Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of experience in catering sales, event sales, or private dining sales, backed by a proven track record of generating new business through proactive, outbound sales efforts. Candidates should possess a robust existing book of business or Rolodex, particularly within weddings, corporate events, and social events such as milestone celebrations and private parties. Experience selling high-end events, typically in the price range of $20,000 to over $100,000, is highly valued.

A background in restaurant, lifestyle hospitality, or boutique hotel environments is preferred, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset capable of building and scaling a program from the ground up. The successful Director of Catering & Events will be polished, relationship-driven, and highly self-motivated, thriving in a high-autonomy role with significant visibility and strategic impact within the organization.

This position offers the rare chance to build and own a multi-location catering business with strong internal support from an experienced operations team. Candidates will gain exposure across multiple growing markets, providing both professional growth and the opportunity to shape the future of the company’s private events division. If you are a sales-driven professional ready to take on a leadership role that emphasizes closing deals over managing logistics, this Director of Catering & Events position could be your next exciting career move.
