With a commitment to excellence and a reputation for creating memorable experiences, these hotels continuously strive to exceed guest expectations and provide tailored services that cater to a diverse clientele. As part of a prestigious hospitality group, both properties uphold the highest standards in service delivery, combining a sophisticated ambiance with modern amenities and a passionate team dedicated to client satisfaction. The synergy between The Grand and Little America Hotels allows them to jointly serve a broad market, offering versatility in event space, customized catering options, and professional support throughout each event's lifecycle.
The Catering Sales Manager role at these premier hotels is integral to sustaining and growing their reputation in the competitive hospitality and events market. This position requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional skilled in managing the end-to-end processes of event sales and execution. The Catering Sales Manager acts as a pivotal liaison between clients and the hotel’s internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and flawless delivery of event services. Responsibilities include proactively soliciting new and repeat business through multiple channels such as networking, research, site tours, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Managing events ranges from intimate meetings for 15 guests to large-scale gatherings of up to 2,000 attendees, covering a broad spectrum of event types including corporate meetings, weddings, galas, and social functions.
In addition to managing sales, the Catering Sales Manager customizes proposals to fit diverse client needs, negotiates contracts, and meticulously coordinates all event details including menus, audiovisual requirements, room configurations, and budget considerations. This role requires expertise in preparing critical documents like contracts and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), as well as event floor plans to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction. Staying current with trends in food, beverage, and event design is essential to offer innovative and competitive options. The manager also provides onsite supervision during key events to guarantee smooth execution and immediate issue resolution. This full-time, onsite role demands a flexible schedule to accommodate events that may occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays, underscoring the dynamic nature of hospitality event management. Overall, the Catering Sales Manager position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to impact hospitality experiences significantly, working in an environment that values professionalism, creativity, and customer-centric service.
