Job Description

Hilton Anchorage is a renowned hospitality establishment situated in the heart of Anchorage, Alaska. As part of the globally recognized Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand, Hilton Anchorage offers guests exceptional accommodations, premier amenities, and a commitment to outstanding customer service. The hotel serves business travelers, tourists, and local residents alike, providing a blend of comfort, luxury, and convenience in one of Alaska's most vibrant cities. Known for its elegant meeting spaces and sophisticated event venues, Hilton Anchorage frequently hosts corporate functions, weddings, banquets, and social gatherings that require meticulous planning and expert coordination.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Catering/Sales Manager to become an integral part of our hospitality team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in an energetic environment where your efforts will directly influence the success of our events and the satisfaction of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue through the sale of our catering services and event spaces while ensuring flawless execution of each event from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will extend beyond sales into client relationship management, event coordination, and strategic planning aimed at continuously growing our catering business.

As Catering/Sales Manager, your day-to-day activities will include prospecting and soliciting new business by conducting sales calls, giving site tours, and networking within the community. You will cultivate lasting relationships with new and existing clients by understanding their unique event needs and crafting customized proposals that cater to corporate events, weddings, banquets, and social occasions. In addition to coordinating event logistics such as menu selections, room arrangements, audiovisual requirements, and timelines, you will serve as the primary point of contact to ensure client's expectations are not only met but exceeded.

The role demands a proactive attitude toward identifying opportunities to upsell additional services like specialty menus, AV equipment, and unique rooms which contribute to revenue growth. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with the banquet, kitchen, and operations teams to guarantee seamless service delivery. With a strong eye on market trends and competitor activities, you will adjust sales strategies to maintain Hilton Anchorage's competitive edge in the local market. Moreover, you will be responsible for the preparation of accurate proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders that comply with Hilton's standards and policies.

You will also maintain detailed records of sales activity and client feedback using our CRM system, ensuring continuous improvement in service quality and client satisfaction. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and proficiency in software such as Salesforce, Onq, and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet the varying demands of our clients' events.

Joining Hilton Anchorage as a Catering/Sales Manager means becoming part of a vibrant team focused on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. You will benefit from professional development opportunities and be a key contributor to the continued growth and success of one of Alaska's premier hotel destinations.
