Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in food and beverage industry
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective sales strategies and marketing knowledge
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment
- Positive attitude and adaptability
- High integrity and adherence to procedures
- Excellent hospitality commitment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to learn industry-specific software
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays
- Professional appearance
- Valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- A minimum of 2 years related sales experience with knowledge of marketing principles and the food and beverage industry
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to develop and apply effective sales strategies and techniques
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated adaptability and positive attitude supporting cross-department communication and company culture
- High integrity with strict adherence to standard operating procedures
- Strong commitment to hospitality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
- Ability to learn and use industry software such as Momentus Elite or similar booking/CRM
Job Duties
- Actively solicit food and beverage business for booked events and work with clients across assigned markets to identify food and beverage needs, menu selections, service preferences, and event-specific requirements
- Conduct site tours, walkthroughs, presentations, and planning meetings
- engage prospective and repeat clients both onsite and offsite
- prepare client correspondence, catering proposals, menu estimates, and pricing information
- Prepare Banquet Event Orders to communicate client requirements, event timelines, guarantees, setup details, and menu information clearly to internal Food and Beverage team and other departments
- Obtain client approvals and distribute final details timely
- Update and maintain the catering menu reflecting current offerings, pricing, trends, and operational needs
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge
- Recommend and develop creative food and beverage options
- Coordinate and conduct tastings for clients and key food and beverage events
- Consult and collaborate with internal departments to align event details and optimize guest experience
- Participate in weekly internal meetings to communicate updates and support cross-department coordination
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account and event records within the online booking system
- Track catering activity and revenue data to support forecasting and budget monitoring
- Foster collaborative relationships with CVB, hotels, clients, industry and community partners
- Attend select networking and industry events
- Abide by approved pricing guidelines, booking policies, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure accuracy, professionalism, and highest level of customer service in all communications and work product
- Participate in team events and activities
- Other duties assigned by the Food and Beverage Director
