The role of Catering Sales Manager at City Barbeque is a crucial position responsible for driving sales growth specifically within the catering segment of the business. This hybrid remote role demands the candidate to work from home but requires physical presence in the market area for sales calls, events, networking, location visits, and meet & greets. The position offers an excellent salary package ranging between 70,000 and 75,000 USD per year, which includes a competitive base salary plus uncapped commissions at 3.5% on all new business generated. The successful applicant will be based within 30 minutes of the designated market to effectively manage regional catering sales and build strong, lasting business relationships in the area.

Job Duties
- Create a targeted game plan for increasing regional catering sales with corporate and social events within a designated territory
- Initiate direct sales and business development
- Focus on revenue-producing activity and maximize selling time by dedicating 80% of work time to direct sales efforts and local marketing
- Employ strategic planning, cold calling, sales presentations, meetings, and effective closing sales techniques
- Work closely with local catering and management teams to stay abreast of clients, trends, and lead opportunities
- Maintain active involvement in networking events
- Cultivate relationships with existing clients through follow-up visits and presence at key events
- Meet established sales goals per quarter
- Manage and communicate client info and ordering process through the customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Create and utilize an ongoing prospect list to ensure incremental growth
- Manage existing accounts to ensure ongoing support and repeat catering sales
- Promptly follow up on all customer calls and requests efficiently and expediently
