Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in catering sales or related fields
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proven sales record
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years catering sales experience or 2 years in hotel catering, convention services, banquet, hotel sales, or culinary arts
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of operational departments within a hotel
  • Ability to integrate current event management and design trends
  • Experience with contract negotiation and review
  • Familiarity with banquet event order creation and client communication

Job Duties

  • Sell meeting and event space with banquet food and beverage
  • Upsell previously contracted groups to maximize revenue
  • Negotiate contracts and event arrangements including menus, bar setups, and room layouts
  • Communicate event details to relevant hotel departments to ensure smooth execution
  • Solicit new business and maintain strong client relationships
  • Coordinate with sales and operational teams to optimize facility use
  • Create and finalize banquet event order sheets and provide hotel tours to potential clients
