As a Catering Sales Manager, you will be entrusted with managing and closing social and local corporate catering opportunities that exceed the scope of the Group Sales teams, specifically those involving large groups such as events with 150 covers or more. Your primary role will involve negotiating contracts, securing new catering business, and ensuring a seamless handover of events to the operations team for flawless execution. You will be pivotal in achieving catering revenue targets by actively upselling each opportunity and creating innovative, appealing catering packages that cater to the unique needs and preferences of clients.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related field
- or 2-year degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- ability to manage catering sales revenue and operation budgets
- excellent negotiating and selling skills
- strong understanding of the local market and competitors
- strong collaboration and communication skills
- ability to work full time onsite at Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with no work experience required
- Catering sales experience preferred
Job Duties
- Handles social and local corporate catering opportunities that are above the parameters of the Group Sales teams
- Manages the sales efforts for the property including local corporate and social catering
- Responds to incoming catering opportunities for the hotel
- Identifies, qualifies and solicits new catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals
- Closes the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts
- Manages catering sales revenue and operation budgets, and provides forecasting reports
