Job Requirements

  • Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility
  • carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • handling objects
  • communication skills to interact with guests, employees, and third parties reflecting highly on the hotel, brand, and company
  • reading and writing abilities for completing paperwork, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training
  • mathematical skills including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances
  • problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities
  • ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions
  • may require a valid driver’s license
  • may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Qualifications

  • College degree with 2-3 years sales or marketing related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • related degree preferred
  • prior hotel and/or catering experience preferred
  • must speak fluent English
  • other languages preferred

Job Duties

  • Developing target base of wedding clientele
  • developing and implementing event strategies including setting goals, objectives, and budgets
  • overseeing all logistical aspects of events including venue selection, accommodation, transportation, audio-visual setup, catering and equipment rentals
  • building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing exceptional customer service
  • overseeing on-site event operations including staff coordination and troubleshooting
  • identifying and mitigating potential risks and developing contingency plans
  • gathering post-event feedback, analyzing data, and implementing changes for future events
  • staying updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event management
