Job Description

Accesso ShoWare Center is a premier public assembly facility located in Kent, Washington, managed by ASM Global, a world leader in privately managed public venues. This venue hosts a wide variety of events including concerts, sports, family shows, and corporate gatherings, serving thousands of guests annually with top-notch amenities and services. The Catering and/or Suite Runner position plays a vital role in enhancing the guest experience at the ShoWare Center by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to suites and catering locations during events. This is a part-time hourly role with a competitive pay rate of $16.91 per hour. The position reports directly to the Assistant Director and Director Food & Beverage Manager and requires a flexible schedule, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

As a Catering and/or Suite Runner, the primary responsibility is to ensure that food prepared by the kitchen matches the orders specified on suite receipts and catering contracts. This role demands meticulous attention to detail to uphold ASM Global's high standards for quality and presentation. The individual will assist suite attendants and caterers as needed to maintain cleanliness and efficiency in food delivery, contributing to a seamless hospitality experience for guests.

Additional responsibilities include completing opening and closing duties as assigned by management, adhering to company and state guidelines for drink service to promote safety and compliance, and supporting the team by stepping into various roles such as Suite Attendant, Caterer, Barback, or Bartender when required. Given the dynamic nature of event services, this position requires physical stamina to climb stairs, stand, and walk throughout long shifts, as well as the ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

Candidates for this role must possess current and valid food handler and mixology permits, reflecting their knowledge of safe food handling and responsible alcohol service. Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork are essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment. Additionally, the position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old and to pass background and credit checks as part of the hiring process.

Job Requirements

  • Current and valid food handler permit

Job Duties

  • Ensure food prepared by the kitchen matches the food ordered on the suite receipt and catering contracts
  • Assist suite attendants and caterers as needed with maintaining the cleanliness and delivery of food for all suite/catering locations
  • Complete opening and closing duties assigned by the suites and catering manager or supervisor
  • Adhere to company and state guidelines when pouring drinks
  • Be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
  • Support team by working as suite attendant, caterer, barback and/or bartender when necessary and/or scheduled
