They are currently seeking a Catering Operations Manager to join their team at Miami Freedom Park in Miami, Florida. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in catering or food and beverage operations
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex events
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Valid alcohol service certification or ability to obtain
- Proficiency in client relationship management and event coordination
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in catering, banquets, or food and beverage operations within a high-volume, fast-paced environment such as sports, entertainment, hospitality, or events
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing hourly and salaried teams
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering customized, service-driven solutions
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with a hands-on management approach
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays based on event needs
Job Duties
- Oversee all catering and special event operations, ensuring seamless execution from planning through event close-out
- Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients, building strong, trust-based relationships and working closely with clients’ sales and operations teams to understand objectives, requirements, and service expectations
- Proactively manage client communications before, during, and after events, ensuring timely responses, clear follow-through, and a consistently high level of service
- Drive catering sales through strategic upselling of food, beverage, and service enhancements to maximize revenue and elevate the guest experience
- Act as a strategic partner to clients by anticipating needs, managing expectations, and delivering customized food and beverage solutions that align with premium service standards
- Lead, train, and manage a team of approximately 20 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and service excellence
- Partner closely with the culinary team to coordinate menus, staffing, timelines, and execution for events of varying size and complexity
