Located at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, Sodexo is seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to join their team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary-focused professional who is passionate about creating amazing dining experiences and managing high-profile, upscale events. The Catering Manager will play a key role in organizing, coordinating, and flawlessly executing various campus and third-party events. The Catering Manager will work closely with senior university leadership, including offices such as the President and Provost, Development and Alumni Relations, Finance and Administration, Deans' Offices, and Zoellner Arts Center. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day event bookings, coordinating the sales team to ensure prompt customer responses, overseeing catering event meetings, and leading the team during large internal and external campus events. Budget management, event forecasting, upselling opportunities, and marketing plan execution are also key components of this role. Additionally, the Catering Manager will train, develop, and mentor catering staff to ensure outstanding guest experiences and maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- manage day-to-day booking of all events
- coordinate with sales team to respond promptly to customers
- communicate event updates and changes to the team
- manage catering event meetings for all departments
- lead team with bookings, details, timelines, and flight plans for large internal and external events
- assist with budgeting and financial forecasting of events including upselling
- assist with execution of marketing plan to increase catering revenue
- oversee setup and presentation to maintain high service and quality standards
- train, develop, and mentor catering staff
- ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
