Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift or carry up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts
  • Possible exposure to loud noise
  • Willingness to work evenings, days, weekends, and event schedules
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in event planning or catering
  • Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years in event planning, catering management, or a culinary role
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and event management software
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Process food orders, manage RSVP lists, create BEOs, finalize contracts, close out events, and create menu signs
  • Select, negotiate with, and coordinate food vendors, catering teams, and decorators
  • Oversee venue setups, food service timelines, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to health regulations
  • Respond to inquiries, provide event quotes, and resolve problems promptly
  • Close out event in catering software, create menu signs, calendar requests for events, work with supervisors, staff, and chefs
  • Maintain relationships with clients, staff, kitchen staff, and the Rangers Event Coordinating team
