Job Requirements
- Ability to lift or carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts
- Possible exposure to loud noise
- Willingness to work evenings, days, weekends, and event schedules
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in event planning or catering
- Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years in event planning, catering management, or a culinary role
- Strong proficiency in Excel and event management software
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to work well under pressure
Job Duties
- Process food orders, manage RSVP lists, create BEOs, finalize contracts, close out events, and create menu signs
- Select, negotiate with, and coordinate food vendors, catering teams, and decorators
- Oversee venue setups, food service timelines, and breakdown, ensuring adherence to health regulations
- Respond to inquiries, provide event quotes, and resolve problems promptly
- Close out event in catering software, create menu signs, calendar requests for events, work with supervisors, staff, and chefs
- Maintain relationships with clients, staff, kitchen staff, and the Rangers Event Coordinating team
