Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years experience in personalized catering services
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm with availability for night, holiday and weekend shifts as needed
- Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Capability to handle physical demands including standing and walking for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Demonstrated skills in food presentation, organizational and interpersonal communication
- Knowledge of business management related to catering operations
- Numerical and clerical ability to estimate counts, analyze costs and maintain records
- One to two years experience in personalized catering services
- Leadership skills demonstrated in a business or owner-operator setting
Job Duties
- Creates and coordinates professional catering services for special parties and events
- Provides daily delivery service for the Dudley Cafe ensuring cleanliness and sanitary conditions
- Researches and implements new food programs such as deli meat selections and yogurt machines
- Plans and distributes customized food menus for special event customers
- Organizes bookings, space reservations, parking and manages necessary documents for events
- Prepares food items including relish trays, deli platters and sandwiches following food safety guidelines
- Delivers equipment and food to various locations including hospital offices, conference rooms, and outdoor events
- Takes food temperatures regularly to comply with safety codes
- Provides orientation and training to staff involved in event delivery
- Assists with cleanup as needed
