In this role, the Catering Coordinator is the primary liaison between customers and multiple store departments such as kitchen, bakery, and delicatessen. They will handle detailed order writing, price calculations, billing, and bookkeeping, ensuring transparency and accuracy throughout the process. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage customer relationships by greeting customers warmly, learning their names, assisting them with product needs, and resolving issues promptly and courteously.

Leadership is a key component of this position. The Catering Coordinator will supervise department employees, delegate tasks, maintain standards, and resolve employee issues while working closely with Store Directors, District Store Directors, and Assistant Managers across various departments. This role also involves outreach efforts such as contacting businesses for catering services and participating in store events including bridal and holiday shows.

The work environment is fast-paced and requires physical exertion, with responsibilities including lifting, standing, and moving objects up to 50 pounds. Attention to detail is crucial to maintain the freshness and quality of catering products, proper equipment maintenance, and adherence to hygiene standards. The Coordinator will be expected to manage equipment ranging from ovens and grills to cash registers and delivery vans.

Successful candidates will be adept at problem solving, arithmetic calculations, and effective communication, able to write original correspondence and follow technical manuals. The role demands a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 years of related experience preferred. The position requires the candidate to be at least 18 years old and to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
