The role of Catering Coordinator at McAlister's Deli is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of the catering services segment of the business. As a Catering Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for catering clients, responsible for managing all aspects of catering from initial sales and client retention through to the flawless execution of events. In this role, you will act as a brand ambassador both inside and outside the restaurant, representing McAlister's commitment to quality and genuine hospitality. You will collaborate closely with your General Manager and the Market Manager to maintain high standards of service and drive business growth. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining company catering systems, developing and training team members, and engaging in community outreach activities to promote the brand.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the casual restaurant industry
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Servsafe license preferred or able to obtain a State-approved license
  • Available Monday through Friday 9 am to 3 pm with flexibility for early mornings, weekends, and evenings
  • Reliable personal transportation with valid license and insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Maintain well-groomed appearance and uniform standards
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive and outwardly friendly attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the casual restaurant industry
  • Experience in hotel catering, coffee service, banquet operations, assistant management, food production, or bartending is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Servsafe license preferred or able to obtain a State-approved license
  • Strong knowledge of team leadership
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant environment
  • Positive and friendly attitude
