We are currently seeking a skilled Catering Chef to join one of our premier catering venues. This is a pivotal role within our culinary team, responsible for collaborating closely with private customers and event planners to create a diverse array of food offerings tailored to client specifications and requirements. The Catering Chef is entrusted with upholding the highest standards of catering services, managing all facets of the catering process to ensure client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

The role involves assisting with menu development when necessary, maintaining a safe, hygienic, and sanitary kitchen environment, and efficiently managing food inventory and purchasing while keeping food costs under control. Timeliness in food preparation is paramount, alongside minimizing raw material and food waste to maintain sustainability and cost-effectiveness. Presentation is also a key aspect, with the Catering Chef responsible for plating and presenting food attractively and professionally. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and training junior chefs and kitchen support staff to foster a skilled and cohesive team environment.

This position offers an hourly wage with benefits including paid time off, 401K for full-time employees, and medical, dental, and vision benefits. The salary range for New York locations is between $62,400 and $80,000 annually. Candidates should ideally be graduates of a culinary school or possess a culinary diploma, with prior catering experience at the culinary level. Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills are essential to succeed in this dynamic and client-focused role.
