The role of Catering Coordinator is part of the Food & Beverage department and reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager. This role plays a crucial part in supporting catering operations by assisting with various tasks related to the preparation, setup, service, and cleanup of events held at their venues, such as Sames Auto Arena. Working in this position means being at the heart of event hospitality, ensuring that all catering services run smoothly and efficiently. It is a role that demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service excellence.

The Catering Coordinator’s responsibilities include maintaining and organizing catering equipment, ensuring the proper display of signage during events, and handling the setup of tables, chairs, glassware, silverware, and other necessities. This position also requires serving guests professionally and courteously, maintaining hygiene standards by keeping catered areas sanitary and organized, and breaking down the catering setup after events conclude. The coordinator supports the Catering Supervisor and Manager, contributing to the seamless execution of all catering activities.

The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and staff at all levels. Preferred qualifications include a Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification, but these are not mandatory. Job Duties

  • Assist in maintaining, organizing, and cleaning all catering equipment
  • Ensure all signage is properly displayed for each event
  • Set up tables, top chairs and tables for catered events as assigned by the Catering Supervisor/Manager in a timely and efficient manner
  • Set all glassware, silverware, dinnerware, and additional setup necessities in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all catered areas have been left in a sanitary and organized manner
  • Serve all functions in a professional, courteous, efficient manner
  • Break down all catering areas after event
