The role of a Catering Attendant at Guest Services is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of catered events. This hourly position, compensated at 11.50 USD per hour, focuses on setting up, breaking down, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of catered events. A Catering Attendant must greet customers in a polite and positive manner, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly to provide ongoing cleaning and service. Key responsibilities include monitoring sanitation, restocking items, and resolving customer issues to ensure satisfaction. Physical demands of the job include moving about frequently, lifting and carrying weights up to 50 lbs occasionally, standing throughout the workday, climbing steps regularly, and working in temperature extremes such as freezer and grill areas. The role requires speech recognition and communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Catering Attendant will also use various equipment including coffee grinders, brewers, and commercial kitchen tools. Job Requirements
- Partial high school education
- Ability to move about on foot frequently within the unit
- Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs regularly, 30-35 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand for the entire workday
- Ability to climb steps regularly
- Ability to withstand temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in, and grill areas
- Ability to read and write work-related documents in English
- Ability to communicate verbally in English with customers and coworkers clearly
- Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties
Job Qualifications
- Partial high school education
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
- Strong sanitation habits

Job Duties
- Greet customers in a polite, positive manner
- Anticipate customers' needs and respond promptly
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned area or catered event
- Set up, monitor, refresh, and break-down catered event according to group requirements and management direction
- Restock items for next service
- Properly store all reusable items
- Resolve customer issues, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Alert management when needed
- Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager
