Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years as catering or special events manager
- Experience in food and beverage service industry
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs
- Ability to communicate in English fluently
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work varying schedules
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff
- Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting up to 15 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Degree in hospitality preferred
- Experience in food and beverage service industry
- 5+ years preferred
- 3+ years as catering or special events manager
- 2-3 years private club or luxury hotel experience preferred
- Knowledge of Northstar operating system preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows-based programs
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette
- Fluent English communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
- Basic mathematical skills for reporting and calculating event charges
- Ability to work within club department parameters
- Customer service skills and friendly personality
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and adaptable
- Respect for club culture and member expectations
Job Duties
- Meet and greet members and guests
- conduct property tours
- promote facilities and services
- answer inquiries
- Develop menus
- write contracts and letters
- organize event arrangements
- Maintain an accurate trace system
- Direct and organize event information
- communicate details to departments
- Coordinate with culinary and F&B managers on pricing
- Disseminate event information to department leaders
- Organize and attend pre-cons for events
- Prepare and present catering reports
- Maintain member and guest files
- Conduct post-event follow-ups
- Solicit repeat business
- Manage feedback including complaints
- Engage in professional development with teams
- Create and strengthen club event schedules
- Manage the master schedule of catering and events
- Assist with compliance with club rules and policies
- Adhere to attendance standards and work varying schedules
