ESS Support Services Worldwide is currently hiring for full-time Catering & Production Kitchen Chef Supervisor positions based in Anchorage, Alaska. This role is an on-site opportunity, emphasizing local presence without remote or rotational work schedules. The typical work schedule varies according to business needs and may include weekdays and weekends, with more details provided during the interview process. Compensation for this role ranges between $22.00 and $25.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. The Catering & Production Kitchen Chef Supervisor is pivotal to the operational success of food service within the company. This supervisory role involves direct management of food-service associates, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations applicable to food safety and service standards. The supervisor is responsible for training new employees, planning and assigning work, appraising performance, and addressing any workplace concerns by resolving conflicts and promoting a positive work environment. Beyond employee management, the role demands careful advisory input to management on purchasing requirements to optimize inventory and reduce waste.

The job also requires strict adherence to approved food recipes and production standards to guarantee consistent quality and portion control. Supervisors oversee operations related to equipment use and maintenance, ensuring all equipment is operated safely and cleaned as per company policies. They also manage food storage, labeling, rotation, and compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines to uphold food safety and quality standards.

This role extends to direct interaction with customers by participating in meal service periods, gathering feedback to enhance service delivery continuously. Supervisors are expected to perform additional duties as assigned, reflecting the dynamic, fast-paced nature of the food service industry within ESS. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of experience in food service
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work full-time with flexible schedule including weekends
  • Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
  • Local to Anchorage, not remote or rotational

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of previous experience preferred
  • Experience in food service supervision
