The Catering/Office Coordinator role at Aramark is a vital position dedicated to enhancing the profitability of operations within the organization. This role demands a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, upholding high-quality offerings, and ensuring consistency across all aspects of catering and office coordination. The coordinator will play a key role in driving sales and managing costs effectively.
A significant part of the position involves managing event bookings, selecting and pricing menu items, and coordinating activities with other internal departments to ensure seamless execution. The coordinator will also participate actively in management meetings and maintain strong relationships with vendors and client organizations to facilitate smooth operations. Representing Aramark and the client in meetings and events, this role requires a professional image and effective communication skills to nurture positive external customer relations.
The role is hands-on with responsibilities around ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met through checklists, direct supervision, and follow-up actions. Additionally, the coordinator will contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for hourly, part-time, and student employees to uphold company standards and service quality. Administrative tasks such as filing, preparing communication materials, printing menu signs, and maintaining professional records are also crucial components of this role.
The Catering/Office Coordinator must be able to remain stationary for periods, performing repetitive motions involving typing, filing, and manual tasks with their hands and wrists. Physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing may also be part of the job, along with wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment as required.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, inclusive environment where developing new skills and adapting to changing responsibilities are encouraged as part of continuous growth. The Catering/Office Coordinator position is ideal for individuals with 3-5 years of relevant experience and current certifications as needed, who are eager to contribute positively to Aramark’s mission and operational success.
