The hospital is dedicated to improving the health of the communities it serves through compassionate treatment and comprehensive healthcare services. As a leading medical institution, UPMC Presbyterian offers a diverse work environment where employees are valued for their commitment to excellence and compassionate service. The hospital fosters professional growth and provides a supportive workplace culture that encourages collaboration and continuous learning.

The Casual Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) position at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital's Epilepsy Monitoring Unit on the 7F floor presents a meaningful opportunity for individuals interested in beginning a career in healthcare and who take pride in helping others. The role is casual and part-time, designed to enhance the experience of patients and their families throughout their hospital stay, from arrival through discharge. This position plays a vital supportive role by delivering non-clinical assistance, ensuring that patients, families, and clinical staff receive attentive and compassionate service.

In this role, the PFC performs a variety of tasks including greeting and escorting patients and visitors, assisting with patient transport, and delivering meals. Additionally, the PFC helps maintain well-stocked supplies and organized, clean spaces, while also managing administrative duties such as answering phones and responding to call lights. The position emphasizes a non-clinical scope of responsibilities, focusing on providing excellent customer service and operational support to enhance the overall patient and family experience.

The ideal candidate for the Casual Patient & Family Concierge position is someone who demonstrates compassion, enthusiasm, and a strong dedication to delivering an exceptional experience to patients and their families. While previous experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred, it is not mandatory. UPMC Presbyterian Hospital supports its team members by offering a respectful and inclusive work environment where diversity is embraced. This role does not involve clinical care tasks such as bathing, mobility assistance, or medical administration; instead, it focuses on facilitating smooth hospital operations and patient comfort through practical, supportive duties.

Joining UPMC Presbyterian as a Casual Patient & Family Concierge opens doors to valuable healthcare experience and the chance to contribute positively to patient care, all within one of the region’s leading medical centers. This role is perfect for compassionate individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of patients and families while exploring career opportunities in the health sector.
