This position is within a prominent hotel and casino establishment that values cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and a well-maintained environment. The role of the cleaning staff member is comprehensive and involves maintaining the cleanliness of multiple areas within the property. This includes sweeping and cleaning slot machine areas, restrooms, restaurants, retail stores, sidewalks, and offices. The employee is expected to use proper cleaning chemicals, manage waste disposal, and perform various cleaning techniques such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and wiping down surfaces. Attention to detail is critical when cleaning different types of flooring such as marble and carpets, as well as handling the cleaning of different fixtures, including chairs, ashtrays, storage boxes, walls, mirrors, and windows.
In addition to routine cleaning duties, the role requires a good understanding of how to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards that meet the expectations of guests and the operational needs of the hotel and casino. The role may also involve guest interactions, and therefore, effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are preferred to ensure clear and courteous communication. This position is ideal for candidates who have some prior experience in cleaning, particularly in a hotel or large-scale environment, and those who are detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

Job Requirements
- GED or high school diploma required
- at least six months experience in a related cleaning field preferred
- previous experience with a large hotel preferred
- at least six months guest contact experience preferred
- knowledge of general cleaning supplies preferred
- communicate effectively in English both verbally and written forms preferred

Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of property
- sweep around slot areas and clean slot machines, chairs, ashtrays, slot stands, walls, pillars, storage boxes, and outside of change booths
- clean restrooms including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning urinals and toilets with proper chemicals, wiping down walls and mirrors, and vacuuming carpets
- vacuum carpets in the restaurants and retail stores, clean and dust shelves, and clean windows
- dust mop and wet mop marble floors and vacuum walkway carpets
- sweep sidewalks and driveway and replace full trash bags with clean bags
- vacuum carpets, dust shelves and cabinets, wipe down walls, and clean windows and mirrors in offices
- perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
