The Casino Floor Bar Back position is an hourly role, starting at $11.10 per hour plus tips, that requires flexibility to work various shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. This role is integral to the smooth operation of the bar area within the casino, supporting bartenders by maintaining the bar’s cleanliness and inventory. Bar backs contribute significantly to guest satisfaction by facilitating quick and efficient service in a bustling environment. The role is physically demanding, requiring the handling of supplies and equipment frequently, with the ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 160 pounds with assistance. Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bar service, bar backing, warehouse, and/or stocking experience preferred
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and counting using whole numbers
  • Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to interact with guests and team members professionally
  • Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, sit, and move freely
  • Capacity to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 60 pounds regularly and up to 160 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Ensure bars are kept clean and stocked with bottle inventory, glassware, mixers, ice, and cleaning supplies
  • Assist with bar cleanup during busy periods and perform assigned cleaning tasks at the beginning and end of shift
  • Empty trash cans as needed
  • Keep inventory room’s stocked and clean at all times
  • Maintain complete knowledge of Casino Beverage Service to include beverage selections, specials, promotions, events, and policies
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the casino and hotel in order to answer guest inquiries and provide directions
  • Work at other venues as assigned based on business needs
  • Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
